5 Reasons Why Arvind Kejriwal Deserves a Slap

“An auto rickshaw driver allegedly slapped AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal in north west Delhi #SlappedAgain”. This news is all over media and everyone is seeking the answer that why this is repeatedly happening with Kejriwal. So here I am giving my reasons to slap him -

Patience – Indians are patient breed and since 1947, they were quietly observing, listening and experiencing the political scandals or rather watching the drama of national leaders be it Indira Gandhi, Narsimha Rao or Manmohan Singh (to name a few). They never raised a voice on mass level against the government and kept themselves absorbed in earning livelihood. For the first time after freedom, Anna enraged the nation at Ramleela Maidan and Arvind Kejriwal emerged as a well educated and informed ‘Hero of the Nation’. He made India give up the patience and protest on streets.

Trust – Though many a time incidents like Kargil War, Babri Riots, Mumbai Attack provoked citizens to speak against the government but nobody actually had guts to stand against the traditional parties. Politicians successfully reserved the trust of citizens with few melodramatic speeches. Kejriwal is the first leader who exposed the faces never before and made people doubt on every leader.

Hope – Being theist, we Indians have innate quality of having faith and hope. We are optimistic and we believe that things will change with time. On every speech in history that said ‘next time we will take strict action against Pakistan’ gave us hope and we believed the leaders blindly. All the corruption, scandals, riots, wars, disrespect of nation internationally was ignored by the citizens with a hope that someday we will be standing among developed nation or super powers, and everything will be changed. But Arvind Kejriwal has shaken this hope by showing the other side of India.

Confidence – The confidence on our own capabilities motivated us to earn and live respectfully without demanding anything from the poor government. Even the basic infrastructure is missing in the nation but we created our own comfort zone with our own efforts. This confidence gave us the feeling of pride and to meet the requirements we happily we became part of brain drain (the biggest scandal of Human Resource). However, Kejriwal has opened the billions of eyes by unveiling the details of Swiss Bank Accounts. We are no more confident enough to earn and stuff the corrupt politicians’ accounts.

Satisfaction – We were satisfied with ‘Roti, Kapda aur Makaan’ and never urged for more, not at least from the government who is taking around 40-60% of our earnings in different forms of taxes. Satisfaction is the base of our upbringing. But Kejriwal has abducted the peaceful sleep from citizens and whole nation is awake all these days to map the future.

Whole Nation has joined hands with Arvind Kejriwal in the revolution, especially youth. We can see the influence on social channels clearly. People invested their patience, trust, hope, confidence and satisfaction in AAP Party, in Kejriwal’s vision but he failed to come upto the expectations when selected as a CM of Capital of India, Delhi. He irresponsibly resigned from the post and never gave a genuine reason to believe.

People are now impatient, doubtful, hopeless, pessimistic and disappointed with everything around. This slap was the reciprocation of what Arvind Kejriwal has done with the people of nation.

Main Tera Neta

Politics is a major event for any democratic country especially for a country like India which has more than 1.2 billion diverse population. Election 2014 is truly a release of two big budget films, one with Narendra Modi (an established superstar) and another with Rahul Gandhi (a debut) as cast, and complete nation is looking upto the media for minutiae. Thus, giving a room for promotions and advertising.

Now, as we all know every big budget movie invests heavily on promotion and the success at box office greatly depends on it, both the parties i.e. BJP & Congress are powerfully advertising themselves on every media be it newspapers, hoardings, banners, tv commercials, radio jingles or digital media. Few months back it was in news that Rahul Gandhi has spent over Rs. 500 crores for his image makeover, and being a senior in the industry Narendra Modi has started the promotion far before with a campaign ‘NaMo for PM’. So, how does it matter? Is it affecting the country? Are people taking them seriously? Do facts and statistics shown in ads really create impact?

Well the fact is they really do…Knowingly-unknowingly, consciously-unconsciously, actively-inactively people are getting influenced and politics is becoming the hot topic everywhere be it chaupal or twitter. US Election is a clear example of excellent promotion by Barack Obama. With smart phone in every other hand, people are becoming aware and active citizens and digital media is contributing a lot in image building of politicians. So, this time I am seeing a big political war of words on all the social channels and somehow becoming a part of it. There is no group on Whats App which is spared of Political Jokes. In fact Google has also introduced a platform to take a political pledge.

So, NaMo & RaGa both are loudly portraying themselves as ‘Main Tera Neta’ and complete nation is in the awe of their advertising and promotion. I am yet unable to decide ‘My Neta’, ‘My Hero’, ‘My PM Choice’ for this session…Just hoping to see both of them on Comedy Nights with Kapil for promotion before election, it might help me in taking a decision before going to polling booth. :p
